Talking about How to Maintain the skeleton and Joints. If you know how to maintain them, you can prevent and delay this kind of aging ~

Feb 23,2024 | HAPPY WALKER

The proverb goes, "Health comes before aging," and currently, the biggest concern for middle-aged and elderly individuals lies in their bones. Once bone health deteriorates, conditions like arthritis and osteoporosis come knocking. While lifespan may increase, the distance from true health grows wider.

In fact, the great inventor Thomas Edison predicted long ago that with the advancement of society, the relationship between the human skeletal structure and health would become increasingly intertwined. He famously said, "The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."

Podiatrist Mr. TEO emphasizes that as individuals age, the bones and joints naturally undergo degeneration. However, with proper maintenance, this aging process can be prevented or delayed, allowing individuals to maintain an active lifestyle even in old age, thus keeping the body in a healthy cycle.

Taking care of bones and joints, according to Mr.Teo , begins with maintaining proper posture, akin to stabilizing the foundation of a building to prevent leaning. Incorrect skeletal alignment exacerbates joint friction and accelerates wear and tear. Additionally, gait plays a crucial role; a correct gait reduces wear and tear on joints, while an incorrect one increases it. Over time, joint wear and tear can lead to the development of bone spurs, particularly troublesome when they occur in the spine, where major blood vessels and nerve lines are located.

Reducing joint wear and tear is key, and proper footwear and insoles play a crucial role. Mr. Teo explains that maintaining a vertical foot position minimizes joint wear. Orthopedic shoes and custom insoles can correct various foot problems and address knee, back, and spinal issues resulting from improper skeletal alignment.

In the early days of Happy Walker's establishment, their technology and equipment were imported from the United States. However, compared to orthopedic shoes, custom-made corrective insoles provide better results. By measuring each person's foot shape and analyzing it through computer scans, these insoles can effectively correct improper gait and maintain proper skeletal alignment.

Mr. Zhang himself experienced the benefits of corrective insoles firsthand. Formerly an engineer, he suffered from heel pain in his early forties due to his daily activities. Traditional remedies like foot massages and acupuncture provided only temporary relief. However, after trying custom-made corrective insoles, his heel pain disappeared permanently within three months.

As a beneficiary of corrective insoles, Mr. Teo developed a strong interest in podiatry and subsequently became a podiatrist. In 2008, he founded Happy Walker, becoming the pioneer of podiatric services in Singapore.

Over eleven years of development, Happy Walker has become the largest provider of comprehensive foot care services in the region, with a team of experienced technicians and state-of-the-art facilities. They continuously research new technologies and materials to improve their products and services.

In summary, the success of Happy Walker lies in their commitment to customer satisfaction, integrity, and genuine solutions. Their mission, reflected in their logo, is to ensure that customers enjoy every step they take, whether at work, leisure, or during physical activities and travel.
